There are many opportunities, from playing along with congregational hymns to playing a special prelude or offering piece, to singing descants to joining a choir. Being in a choir is a wonderful way to sharpen your musical skills, deepen your faith, enhance Sunday morning worship, make new friends and enjoy the fellowship of others. Sanctuary Choir members receive a practice CD at the beginning of each season so, in addition to group rehearsals, it is fun and easy to practice at home. Confirmation classes begin Sept. 26 and conclude Nov. 7
|
|
Our Bishop will help St. Margaret celebrate its tenth anniversary as a parish by visiting the church on St. Margaret Day November 14 at which time he will confirm those who present themselves to him. Confirmation is for anyone who discerns within himself or herself a deepening of faith and would like to have that "confirmed" by the Bishop. Age is not an issue. You should consider confirmation if you have only been baptized but discern the movement of God's spirit in a deepening way. The subjects of the classes deal with the nature of faith and the Church. If you would like a refresher, please join us.The first confirmation class is Sunday, September 26.
