What can be done to reduce our risks for the various types of cancer? Seeking health care at the earliest possible time if you have a change in your health status helps any treatment to be more effective. In addition, it is very important to see your doctor if you experience any of the following warning signs:
* Change in bowel or bladder habits
* A sore that does not heal
* Unusual bleeding or discharge
* Thickening or lump in breast or elsewhere
* Indigestion or difficulty swallowing
* Obvious change in a wart or a mole
* Nagging cough or hoarseness
If you or a loved one experience any of these warning signs it may not indicate anything serious. But, if it is related to cancer, it is important to receive health care as soon as possible. If you have any concerns, I would be very happy to assist you.
These are among the positive things you can do to reduce your risks of cancer:
* Stop smoking
* Maintain a normal weight
* Eat a diet high in fiber and low in animal fat
* Have a regular checkup with your doctor
* Seek health care at the earliest possible time
if you have a change in your health status
